Bias
It boggles the mind the way that writers such as Tony Rivera of Suwanee and Jim Threlkeld of Lawrenceville insist that the Gwinnett Daily Post is slanted towards the Liberal left when editorials written by the newspaper staff have suggested otherwise. These two men claim that the paper unfairly targets and omits Conservative views . What a total crock! Threlkeld and Rivera blatantly trash the views of roughly half the voters of this country and constantly use pejorative terms to describe them. "Liberal Elitists". "The Socialistic Liberal Left" etc. etc. Mr. Threlkeld describes himself as a "conservative, traditionalist God loving person". Well before he attaches those wings too firmly to his ego he might want to consider that there really are good, decent folks out there who don't cotton to the Rush Limbaugh mentality that brushes aside every other point of view save his own. Gentlemen, I am an old man who loves this country and who always tries to vote his conscience and choose the right people to govern us, but sometimes the pickings are lean and the choices are not clearly defined. Set in cement mentalities tend to generate prejudice and indifference to those who are not in lock-step with ourselves. This attitude does not bode well for a free society. Does any thinking American believe that we should become a one party, one train of thought society? Well, sad to say, it seems that there those who do.
