Supreme court justice nominee Roberts

Supreme court justice nominee Roberts may very well be
amply qualified for the job, but after listening to the president's listing of Robert's stirling qualifications I was half way disappointed when the man did'nt rise heavenward in a swirl of angel dust. I wonder sometimes if an over-dose of praise for a candidate may lead to creating stubborn resistance among those called upon to accept him, especially those of the opposing party. In the case of Roberts, his past performances as a judge are a matter of record, easily accessible to the congress or anyone else,
so why all the hype? Shame on me for asking such a stupid question. It's all part of the political gamesmanship both parties play in winning public support. I fully expect that Mr. Roberts will gain the post handily and in all probability deserves to do so. As for that other fellow the president is determined to send to the United Nations....well, I would really be surprised to see HIM rise heavenward in a swirl of angel dust, regardless of all the smarmy praises. Why, I wonder, is the president so determined to force this round peg into the square hole that is the UN? Just one more puzzle for us poor political neophytes to unravel.
