Change
Some say you can never teach an old dog new tricks, but I intend, as a New Year's resolution, to give it my best shot. The past year has been rife
with political controversy and mean spirited attacks upon one party's dogma or another. Democrats and Republican's alike have snarled and torn at the issues like pit bulls and there are few, if any, signs of improvement going into this year. The war in Iraq goes on and on with both sides claiming to be on the highway to victory. The only thing we know what's happening for certain is that people continue to die and politicians continue to posture, rant and to deny the obvious. The 'obvious', of course is a bone of contention and is pretty much in the eye of the observer.
All of that aside, I have resolved to put my political views on hold and try
to be fair-minded and even-handed when casting judgement on the issues.
Therefore I am declaring a truce, a cease fire and extending the olive branch to all those whose naive and ridiculous views conflict with my own.
How fair can an old dog be?
