Bring in the clowns

No television drama series or sit coms could possibly provide more chills or comic relief than the currant occupant of the oval office. There is hardly a day that goes by that our elected 'top banana' does'nt flaunt his star quality by attempting to remake the constitution and the world according to George.

Let us not overlook the bevy of supporting actors, billed as 'the congress',
because they remind us every day why we should have gone fishing in November instead of to the polls. I suppose there have been other times when our government has provided us with such a combination of entertainment and embarassment, but unless you want to consider the Clinton and Lewinski oval office soft shoe shuffle, I can't recall any past performances that measure up.

Of course the horrors generated by wars of dubious justification are no
laughing matter and infusions of a never ending stream of illegal immigrants really is'nt anybody's idea of a joke, but sometimes it's a matter of putting on a happy face or you'll just have to sit down and cry.

Whoever wears the mantle of the presidency in 2008 had better be prepared wow us, because his predecessor has been one hard act to follow.
