Madness in mid stride
North Korean leader Kim Jong seems determined to show the world,
specifically the United States, that he is prepared to do the unthinkable if
provoked, by launching his missles whenever, whereever and at whoever.
Either the man is certifiably nuts or he has a clever game plan in play designed to establish a firm grip on power in the Asian theater. Either way, it spells bad news for everybody concerned. Jong, like his father before him, continues to invest millions in weaponry while his people starve.
This seems to have become a worldwide condition, the investiing of millions for killing machines, while people live in miserable poverty. If
Kim Jong is really the ding bat he appears to be, he certainly is'nt a lone ranger. Just consider the sophisticated weapons being used by the insurgency in Iraq. They appear to be as well armed as the troops we sent there to confront them. There is never enough money to feed, house and clothe the impoverished of this world, but get a load of those state of the art automatic rifles and surface to air missles being brandished by the
terrorists/freedom fighters in Iraq and Afghanistan. It is not a particularly comfortable feeling knowing that the biggest arms dealer in the world
is.....guess who? Is'nt it ironic that when we have finally confronted the probability that we have put our planet in harms way enviromentally, we
insist upon rushing to our demise in a cloud of nuclear fire.
Perhaps cooler heads will prevail in North Korea.,,,,,and everywhere else.
Blessed be the peace makers.
