Why stop there?
Now that our Washington Gurus have brought freedom and democracy to an ungrateful and spiteful Iragi populace, who has rewarded us with an ongoing explosion of infrastructure and body parts, we might need to rethink our generosity and get the hell out of there. There can no longer be any doubt that the only 'democratic' society that will emerge from this horrible mess will be the one with the most guns and the most 'death to Israel and/or America' signs. The poor Iraqi citizens who would like to have a free and democratic state seem to be making up most of the body parts. The latest joke that passes for a government appears to be either helpless or reluctant in disarming the death squads that keep on blowing up everything that does'nt blow them up first. Bush, in his infinite wisdom that continues to defy credence, thinks that sending more American troops into Baghdad will solve the problem. This in the face of mounting evidence that most Iraqis consider that to be attracting more moths to the flame with them being the ultimate moths. Most generals, including those who clamored for more troops from the outset, feel that it's too late for that.
As for the Lebanon crisis, the White House could consider this another golden opportunity to spread the joys of freedom and democracy to the Hezbollah freedom fighters/terrorists.We might want to hold off on that until we've whipped North Korea into shape.
It is only a matter of time.
