Kerry

John Kerry's recent remarks has raised a fire storm among the boys on the right and, I might add, on the left as well. As ill timed and stupid as Kerry's comments were, they pale into insignificance when compared to other dumb outbursts, such as "Mission Accomplished" and "the forces employed in Iraq are more than equal to the task". Let's face it, some stupid remarks as well as stupid tactics are just more consequential than others. One of the great classic examples of this is when Donald Rumsfeld telling a soldier who asked him why our military vehicles lacked the armored plating needed to keep them from being blown up, that he "must go with the army we have". I wish John Kerry had kept his mouth shut and not made himself look foolish, but I also wish the pot would quit calling the kettle black. A wish that is not likely to be granted in my lifetime.

Ernest Wade, in his recent letter, called the Democrats "traitorous". Come on Ernest, you have to know that at least half of the soldiers and Marines serving worldwide are Democrats. Your remark made John Kerry's comments appear almost scholarly.
