Lost causes revisited
It has oft been said that the main reason Roy Barnes lost the gubernatorial race to Sonny Perdu was his failure to place the restoration of the Conferderate Battle flag on his agenda. Apparently Sonny's leaving the issue off his "sonny do" list did not prevent his winning a second term. Perhaps he will be presenting a "Sonny past due" list and give the 'Flag and Heritage' folks another shot at it. Alas and alack, I seriously doubt this, because the prevailing thought is that these once-determined folks just don't give enough of a ......well, you know. The burning question remains, just why did they vote for Sonny this Time? Could it have been that the thought of "The Big Guy" in the saddle was too much to bear? We may never know.
