To oust or not to oust

Ernest Wade, in his unflagging outrage at just about everybody involved in the illegal immigrant debate including senators Ted Kennedy and John McCain, has struck again in his latest letter to the editor. Georgia senators Chambliss and Isakson do not escape his wrath nor does anyone who goes along with the president's proposed new immigration bill. Mr. Wade calls the bill nothing less than amnesty for every illegal alien in the country. I'm not about to argue that point, but I've yet to hear any finger snapping quick fix solutions from any source that makes any sense.. The over-riding factor throughout is the government's and Corporate America's insistence that these illegal immigrants are needed to keep the wheels of industry humming. They also want us to believe that the jobs they fill are ones American citizens won't do. Well, that sounds like a "case closed" argument to me, and we may as well say amen and move on. Fat chance, right Ernest? I don't have any easy alternatives to the bill other than the obvious 'seal off the borders, make it a federal crime for companies to hire undocumented illegals and arrest and/or throw them out of the country as they become known.' If any of the readers of this newspaper have a better idea, listeners are standing by.
