Give it a rest
Deryl Duncan, in his recent letter, has decreed that Sen. Obama is "just a phenomenon fueled by the liberal press." Maybe so, but in Mr. Duncans' eyes ALL Democratic candidates are fueled by that evil entity, "The liberal press." I have no idea what "fuels" his political choices, but if I were he, I'd be looking for a new source of energy unless he believes the horror show that's been featured in the White House for the past six and a half years is Oscar material. Why not just display an asterisk over each Democratic candidates name that appears in the press, identifying he or she as "liberal press fueled." Here's an idea Mr. Duncan might consider: Why not give all the candidates on both sides a little breathing room to get their acts together, and refrain from applying the tainted brush until the dust clears. The continued practice of right wing zealots to pin the "liberal media" label on every information source that isn't in lock-step with their personal opinions is getting a little tiresome. Affixing labels has become an obsession for some folks who consider diversity a perversion.
