Try tuning out
Is it just me or does anyone else have a problem understanding the TV commercials these days? I need an interpreter to explain to me what it is they're trying to sell, especially if is computer related. It also seems that the number of commercials we're having to listen to have increased to the point where you wonder why they bother to even show the feature you tuned in to watch. This is especially annoying on news shows that are being hosted by people who spend more time selling themselves then they do presenting the breaking stories of the day. They will announce that a major event is coming up, but first.......you guessed it, the commercial. I can envision the arrival of a dooms day comet being preempted by: "first this important new break-through in bathroom tissues". Some of the most prestigeous newsmen are guilty of asking unbelievably stupid questions of people who have just had a horrible experience. The most predominant one that comes to mind is the, "how did it feel"? question. "Tell me sir, how did it feel when you saw your house blow up" Or, "how did you feel when you learned that everybody in your family was on that plane that plunged into the Sargasso sea"? All things considered, I suppose commercials can be a welcome relief ,after all. I'm going to see "how it feels" to activate the off button on my boob tube more often.

hahaha,
the boob tube.
yes i absolutely hate commercials,
with a passion.
But i also understand without them it would be impossible to have t.v. shows, so i guess you win some and you lose some, but i hardly watch t.v. anymore thanks to my wonderful advanced placement u.s history class. :) haha.
yeah, i do agree with you on the rediculous questions from the reporters as well...ecspecially after this weekend with all the tornados...."how did you feel when you saw your dog being tossed into your neighbors house?"
i mean honestly reporter- i think americans are smart enough to know what that would feel like....well...then again =)
