Pick and choose, but who?
After watching the debates between the presidential candidates of both parties, I find myself inclined to decline all of them. The candidates themselves set the stage for this conclusion by each in turn taking pot shots at every other member of the debating team. Democrats and Republicans turning on themselves with no holds barred was both revealing and troubling, because if all the accusations they made against each other were in fact, true, you'd have to at least be somewhat wary of supporting any of them. Its really too bad that we have to settle for whomever we feel is the least likely to make us sorry for our decision. We've been there and done that too many times and I for one, was hoping to jump on somebody's band wagon with joyful conviction. Well, it is early in the game and one of two things is likely to happen. We'll either settle for the pick of the litter that's available or someone yet to surface on the political stage, will come riding in on his or her white charger to energize and enhance us all. Someone who dwells presently in the sand castles of our minds.
