Maybe its time to take the 'angelic' out of evangelical. I have felt for a long time that some of those radio and television preachers were making a mockery of the term "men of God" by taking advantage of the good people who put their faith...and their money...in their ever out-stretched greedy hands. When you read about the opulent life styles of some of these parasites, it makes the blood run cold. I once saw a television preacher wipe his brow with a silk handkerchief and offer to send it along with others to his 'parishioners' in exchange for their 'offerings' of as little as ten dollars. I could envision little old ladies digging into their sugar bowls to come up with the money to ensure their place in heaven. This charlatan was actually "selling the sweat off his brow" in exchange for eternal salvation..I can't imagine a worse kind of scum bag.

This kind of chicanery goes on at all levels of the spectrum. There is a senate investigation in progress right now into the financial records of some of these predators. One of the investigating senators was told to butt out of 'church business' by a well known television evangelist whose life style rivaled that of a Saudi Arabian prince. The time has come to weed out and expose the blood suckers who are milking the life savings from poor and decent people who put their faith in these 'Godless' con artists.
