On the course
There is a fine line to be drawn between doubt and denial. For example you can 'doubt' that I'm going to win the lottery, but you cannot 'deny' the possibility that I might. Especially if I buy a ticket. What led me to this brain storm was hearing a rumor that Tiger Woods might make a run at the presidency on a 'Pro Am' ticket. Crazy, you say?
Well, as I said, you can doubt the possibility, but ....etc. etc. Why should'nt a sports figure, such as Woods, be considered for high office? Tiger is an intelligent, highly motivated role model and his 'drive' is .....well, beyond reproach. Nobody was overly surprised when Ronald Reagan went from actor to governor to the Presidency of the United States. Yes, you might say, but Reagan didn't just jump into the Oval office from Hollywood. He ran for Governor of California first. That's true, but, with all due respect, Tiger Woods is a much better golfer than Reagan was an actor. The 'Kipper' was pretty good, but certainly no John Barrymore. Woods is young, well heeled and married to a beautiful woman and what's even more important, he has never, to my knowledge, made any political comments about anything. How could anybody be more suited for the job?
Go ahead and laugh, ye of little faith, but I'm telling you , if the rumor is true, and Mr. Woods is going to try and 'ace the hole'. we could do worse. Believe me, We really could do worse. FORE!
