Where's Hillary?
I noticed that during a recent exchange, Sen. McCain and Sen. Obama have both
promised to take the high road if and when they meet on the campaign trail to the oval office. Sen. Clinton, while very much still in the game, was not included in the repartee, probably because McCain and Obama see themselves as the likely adversaries. Well, that sounds peachy keen and all that, but while the boys may be convinced that it's going to be a mano a mano soiree, things can change in a nano second and the lady in question is nobody to write off...anytime...ever. Even as Obama and McCain vow not to skewer each other on their respective petards, the rhetoric is beginning to sizzle and pop and if one accusing the other of lacking leadership isn't a step into the mire, it comes suspiciously close. Then there's the 'war monger' thing that Obama disavows accusations coming from his camp. He came right out and said, "Senator McCain is a war hero." Well I suppose it's possible that a man be both war hero AND war monger, but let's not crunch words here, keeping in mind that this is going to be a clean, honest and informative contest between two honorable and highly electable opponents and if Hillary doesn't like it, she can do the sensible thing and drop out. The Las Vegas odds of that happening are out of sight.
