Letter to the editor

Daryl Duncan, in his recent letter,asks what have the Democrats done since taking over in congress? Well, that's a fair question I suppose, because I haven't noticed any flurry of meaningful activity either. But then again, doing little or nothing pales in contrast to what the Republicans have already done to the detriment of the country, so perhaps we would be better served if the congress concentrated on undoing as opposed to doing. I'm prepared to go along with Duncan's question if he'll come off his set in cement right wing rant, mainly consisting of railing against raising taxes and other favorite 'liberal' pursuits. Oh how we just love them there taxes! Daryl also doesn't approve of our failure to embrace the war in Iraq, but I won't get into that. To each his own, I always say. Still it would be nice if we all 'just got along' and waited to give the new boys a chance to do their stuff, and since we don't know who the new boys will be, we might as well take time out and stop blowing smoke in each others ears. We shall see what we shall see. There is no way they can do any worse than we've had.
