What better proof

It has just been revealed that Vice President Dick Cheney deliberately and with white sanction withheld evidence of the effects of global warming on human health. The evidence was gathered and prepared to be presented by the CDC, offering conclusive proof that climate change was contributing to health problems caused by unprecedented increases in carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. Cheney wanted all references to the dangers outlined by the CDC and other environmental sources down-played or go unmentioned altogether. He was said to fear that such revelations would make it more difficult to avoid regulating carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. This, of course, would mean that the creators of these emissions would have to dig deep into their pockets to correct the problem and consequentially substantially decrease their 'bottom lines'...and that, my friends, would be for many large companies, a living nightmare.

It is no secret that the public welfare is not the top priority for some of these industrial sharks as proven by the fact that little has been done over the years to correct the problems of pollution. Our air and our streams and rivers continue to reek with the poisonous outpourings they present and it is only now hitting home to those that govern us, that time is running out and we may be rapidly approaching a point of no return.

Frankly I find that the voices of organizations like the CDC and the EPA are far more compelling than the self-serving bleats of out-of-touch-with-reality politicians and those that continue to listen to them. How can anyone who has actually watched the filthy gruel that is being poured into our atmosphere and streams ever doubt that there is something very wrong with that picture. All the warning signs are there, reams of information are at our finger tips. All that remains is for the message to resonate with our brains and we hold
those accountable, accountable. The ball is in our court.
