A town to remember

Every city and town in America, big and small, has a story to tell, and Auburn, Ga. is no exception. One of the best ways to learn about a place and its history is through its people and the institutions on hand to tell about it. Auburn is fortunate to have its own historical museum, a small yellow, rustic building, one street over from Auburn's new state-of-the-art library. The museum contains artifacts and photographs of a bygone era, along with original newspaper headlines depicting the ending of World War Two. The only thing the museum lacks is more of the same. Past generations of Barrow County citizens are well represented at the Auburn Historical museum and more input of family history by its citizens would be most welcome. The museum is currently open on the first Saturday of every month from the hours of 10:0AM to 2:00PM. These hours may be expanded in accordance with increased attendance. We welcome you to come take a trip down memory lane with us...and while you're at it, check out our town as it is today.
