Letter to the editor

Ernest Wade, in his letter, "Stimulus plan filled with pork", managed to unleash three of his pet 'ism's in one fell swoop (Progressivism, Liberalism and Socialism) Fortunately,'Communism' has been put on the back burner for the time being. How he can possibly envision a 'stimulus' plan that DOESN'T contain some pork is beyond me. I never considered Mr. Wade as being that naive. I cannot conceive of his unwillingness to face up to 8 years of failed policy leading to the brink of economic collapse and still unload on a new administration as yet untried in the trenches without at least giving it credit for coming up with a plan in the first place. I have not always considered the word 'conservative' in pejorative terms, but at this time, in the twilight of my life, after being subjected to some of the worst political leadership in our history, I feel moved to do so. Unfair, you say? Yes, it is. Just as unfair as Ernest Wades never ending name calling of anyone who does'nt oil his squeak. When it comes to fairness in politics, it seldom shares the spotlight with objectivity. And they say love is blind.
