Out brief candle
With the air waves flooded with media speculation and opinion about the untimely passing of Michael Jackson, and the bizarre behavior leading up to it., there seems to be little that can be added. I am not qualified to offer answers as to why Michael chose to change his appearance through plastic surgery or other puzzling adjustments to his personal life, nor am I inclined to do so. His impact on the musical world and young people everywhere cannot be denied, nor can his monetary contributions to a multitude of charities. The tragedy of his life is that his great success as a performer left him bereft of the inner happiness that should have gone with it. I for one am willing to conclude that the positives of his contribution as a performer and a man, exceeded the cons of his sometimes erratic behavior. It doesn't seem possible that someone as beloved as Michael Jackson was and apparerntly still is, could be unworthy of our respect and admiration.
