Going gently into that good night
Senator Ted Kennedy may not have been everybody's soul brother, but he contributed half his life-time to-wards the betterment of those who fell beneath the cracks of our society in one way or another . Born into the elite of the land with almost limitless wealth and power at his disposal, he chose to champion the causes of the poor and disfranchised without thought of personal gain or fame. In fact his efforts were often subjected to attacks from those who didn't share his views. There will be praise enough coming from all corners of the globe, so I will uncharacteristically put a sock in it and leave it. at that,to conclude that he was, as our Jewish friends would describe him, a mensch.
