Cal
Cal Thomas's column. "Flaws don't automatically make someone a bad person" typifies
the extent of this man's hypocrisy and delusions of grandeur and I sincerely wonder if the management of this newspaper ever even reads this drivel before they print it.
Thomas, who constantly spouts invective venom against those who don't dance to his right wing politics, has the audacity to accuse others of narrow minded adherence to views that differ from his. I have never once known him to give praise to any Democratic presidents, living or dead, despite the fact that they were duly elected by a majority of the American voters. Thomas has openly ranted at Obama's popularity, implying it was just 'star worship' and not worthy of note while his own obsession with Ronald Reagan is fraught with adolescent hero worship worthy of an Elvis fan. Thomas constantly quotes scripture in his columns and while he confesses he isn't always right, he never owns up to ever being wrong. In any event, if I feel the need for spiritual guidance, I will seek it elsewhere. Cal's sermons from the mount would not sit well on my stomach.
